Manual techniques

Chiropractic

Chiropractic involves manual adjustment and manipulation of the spine, vertebrae, joints and soft tissues. Chiropractic is the third most represented health profession.

At Profizikal, chiropractic is used as part of therapy when patient therapy shows that there is a need for it. Clinical research shows that over 80% of patients experience relief and cessation of pain after visiting a chiropractor.

Chiropractors are most often visited for issues related to pain in the spine, back , neck, shoulders, between the shoulder blades, and lower back. It also helps minimize migraines and neck-related headaches and improves  posture.

Chiropractic is an absolutely safe method, provided it is performed by a professional and medically trained chiropractor. When performed professionally and adequately, chiropractic has almost no side effects.

PNF technique

Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) is a treatment concept that involves stretching and contracting (activation) of the muscle group being targeted in order to achieve maximum static flexibility. Physiotherapists use it to improve muscle elasticity and it has been shown to have a positive effect on active and passive range of motion.

PNF is a painless method. By applying this technique, the therapist does not judge what the patient can't do, but focuses on what he can do and works to develop it, all with the goal of regaining function. The therapist works closely with the patient and this creates a feeling of security for the patient. The focus in PNF is individual work of the therapist with the patient.
